    Hi

I'm creating  some images at my work, I'm using the Symantec Ghost Console (Ghost Solution Suite 2.5). I need to restore the computers thought the network and sometimes I also need to restore them locally.

At this point I have created my network image and a local too, however even when I can execute the local image in the client station (with the image storaged in the client PC), it requeries to be conected to the server to show me the option in the system tray. I would like to eliminate this dependency. I have created boot cds and it work perfectly, however, I would like to do this from Windows.

Could you send me the procedure to do that?

    Thanks in advance

    Coa

This is catered for in the Ghost Boot Wizard through the one-click virtual partition system; that builds a Windows executable that when run, reboots the machine into Windows PE just as the console-initiated restore tasks do, and from that you should be able to restore the locally stored image you want.

The Ghost Boot Wizard won't let you put the .GHO to restore into the one-click Virtual Partition, but with Windows PE you can access the disks on the client machine to then retrieve the .GHO you wish to restore from, and construct a suitable start-up batch file to perform the restore operations.
