  • 1.  Localized Symantec Management Console - Mixed Languages

     Hello,

    My computer is installed with Windows 7 Pro SP1 in french.

    All applications are installed in french when available by manufacturer.

    My Internet Explorer is also in french.

    Since I prefer to work with Altiris in english, I changed Internet Explorer settings so the first language is english.

    Now when I use the Symantec Management Console (7.1.6851), console displays half english and french titles.

    This is what I get. In red are items left in french.

      

    Is there something I could do to fix this problem?

    Engineering has a bug logged on this issue, Incident #2275541 - Silverlight can't detect IE language on localized OS when language preference is changed from locallized language to English.

    We currently plan to have this issue fixed in 7.1 SP2.

    I recommend you call in to support so that we can link your customer information to this bug.
