We are starting the project to upgrade to Sep 12 from Sep 11. I was trying to avoid creating 3 different packages for our different regions. My question is: Is there a way to create one package and have it discover the nearest Sep 12 server and assign its self to it?  Or will I have to continue down the road of creating 3 separate packages for our regions?

thanks

Hello,

When you say 3 different regions, do you mean to say you have 3 different SEPM's or 3 different groups in 1 SEPM?

Incase, you have 3 different regions you would have to create 3 different packages for each site to support and the clients would then report to their respective SEPM's.

Again, if these SEPM's located in each location are replicating then it could surely assist you.

Secondly, incase if you have 3 different groups within 1 single SEPM, then you could surely create 1 package and deploy it to the clients. However, here the clients would then report to the same group to which the Package is created for.

There is no way to create one package and have it discover the nearest Sep 12 server and assign its self to it.

Hope that helps!!
