Location awareness and criteria checks

Hello,

 

location awareness is enabled and checks frequency set to 10 seconds. 10 locations.

On some computers, move from locations takes more than 1 minute.

Debug.log activated but nothing interesting...

=> How to log or check each criteria check in order to see which one takes a lot of time ?

Seems that this is a support only capability.... but we really need this !

What's the exact version of SEP you're on?

Enable AutoLocation switching debugging per this KBA

Hello,

Sylink debugging must be enabled for Auto-Location Switching (ALS) debugging to work.

Hello,

these logs display only the location change but not each criteria check... I need to have the result of each criteria to discover which one an explain some slowness... Seems that a WPP log can be read by support with a specific tool but I don't have access to this tool...

Hope someone can help !

You may try opening with the SymHelp tool. If that doesn't work, then you will likely need to work with support as the tool is porbably not publicly available.

It's my problem... Private tool it seems such as the DATViewer...

Problem is that we cannot call support for each location issue...

Hope Symantec will enhance this point !
