Deployment Solution

 I'm needing to set the location properties in Deployment Solution automatically, but cannot see a way forward. Can this be done? Can the AClient interfaces be called through a VB script or some such to send up to DS information like contact info and mailstop data?

At the moment, it seems that the only way this can be done is by user interaction on the client.

Has anyone ever managed to do this through some scripted means?

Guess its time for an enhancement request as I still struggling with this one. Being able to script the addition to the computers location properties is great in scenarios where this information is available locally on the machine already. A simple DS script could them upload this information silently into Deployment Solution enabling you to move off legacy systems easier. These variable I guess could also be recycled for other means too for special server locations, printers etc. There is a KB enhancement request for customisation (46637) of these variables, and for them to be made available for scripts -nothing though about scripting their upload to DS. I'll plough on, but if anyone has any pointers here (i'm guessing a vb script to call an aclient method) i'd really appreciate it. Kind Regards Ian./
