  • 1.  Login to PGP Universal

    Posted Jul 08, 2011 06:45 PM

Hello I have a PGP universal server that no one has login information for.  Is there a default login that I could use to try to login with?  Is there a way to find the admin username and passphrase?

I do have a PGPADMIN account in AD but the account is currently locked out and I do not know the current password for that account.  Not sure what impact could occur if we changed th password?

    Thank you,

    Richard Tracy

Hi. I would recommend you to get in touch with customer support for this issue. The default login is over the GUI on https and port 9000, but the default login is not bound to the AD, it's local.

Hello Richardtracy, Yes, there is a way, you can reset the single user root passowrd on the Universal server. Once you are able to login you can use it as command line and workout the situation. You can have a SSH connection there after. If you want a KB Article on the how to reset the Root password let me know !
