  • 1.  LogonHook for SWV 6.1?

I used to have a copy of LogonHook that I used with SVS 2.1 to manage certain events based on who was logged on ( reset on logoff,  activate specific apps based on which user logged in, etc.).  It was perfect! However, my computer has since been replaced and I no longer have a copy of it. I have three questions:

    1) Will Logonhook work with SWV 6.1.4113?

    2) If it does work with it, where can I get a copy? I checked http://www.altiris.com/Download.aspx and there's a link there to download, but it just takes you to where to download the SWV clients.

    3) If it doesn't work with SWV 6.1.4113, is there something else that I can use in lieu of it?

    Thanks!

    1) The log-on hook is no longer supported for SWV, for the most part it should work but there's no guarantee that it will.  Also the Log-on hook only support Win 2000, XP and 2003 and won't work on Vista, 2008 or Win7.

    2) I dono, I can't find a copy of it internally but if I could I've got permission to post it here on connect.

    3) No idea but I'm sure others here may have suggestions.

Note that the log on hook is not supported with 6.1 so it's use at your own risk.

Jordan, you completely and utterly ROCK!!! Thanks!! I understand that this is  not supported in Vista or Windows 7, and was not designed for any version SWV. (2 strikes against me.)

If it doesn't work, then I really didn't lose anything since I am just going to test this on an image we're building. If the machine blows up, a reimage job from Altiris DC will fix the system good as new in about 10 minutes.

But if this works, then we just got ourselved another tool in our quest to build the indestructible image.

    Thanks again.
