  • 1.  Logs are occupying more space on the server

    Posted Nov 07, 2013 11:22 PM

    Hi,

logs size in the DB server is growing very fast.It occupies more than 100 GB in a months time.

what is the best practice to control the server space.

Right now we have enabled logs expiry is 60 days.

There is a option called truncate the database transcation logs every 4 hours?what does it mean?Do we need to do it in SEPM server or in the DB server.

    Please advise.

    Regards,

    Ravishankar

you may want to reduce the log retention and also the content revision if it's been set.

you need to enable on SEPM , if you are not doing the maintenance task on SQL .

You need to do that on sEPM server, it will reduce the size and also change the number of content revisions to keep

    Hi Ravishankar,

As per your previous thread scm-ui.2013-10-10.log file in temp folder keeps growing. Are you talking about the same issue or this is a different issue?
