How can we change the time for which logs of the past are stored in the NS?

Is there some specific folder where these logs are archieved?

I am only able to see the logs of the last few hours......

Can I change the location where the logs are stored....I have my NS in D: drive but logs are formed in C:/program files/altiris/altiris agent /logs....

    Kindly suggest.......

and so are my logs: D:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\Logs.

The logs can be archived and this is located on Settings -> All Settings -> Notification Server -> Notification Server Settings -> Log (Tab)

Is your actual agent install on C:? Typically on every NS install I have ever done the Agent went on the same drive as the install. Now, if you installed the agent later, it's possible it isn't, but the main system logs should still be on the same drive.

Here's how to import additional log files if the current, active log file does not show enough history:

    1. Launch the Altiris Log Viewer
    2. Click Options > Log Options..
    3. Copy down the path listed here, or change it to a different location if you want (default is <drive>:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\Logs)
    4. Choose File > Import Log Files
    5. Browse to the location of the log files
    6. View Details and sort by modified date
    7. Import log files as necessary to provide detail for the time range you wish to examine

This place has the data of only last one day. No folders are formed according to date.

You can modify the registry in order to keep more log history.

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO2871

For example, change MaxFiles from 50 to 250 to keep five times as much history.  This will increase disk space usage, but shouldn't be a problem.

No folders will be formed according to date, and when the system needs to make a new log file it will use the oldest log file present.

Folders are formed according to date for installs and upgrades.  These are kept historically and are not overwritten by regular logging.
