  • 1.  Looking for instructions to apply a hotfix to DS 6.9

    I am experiencing the issue described in KB 41648 where computers and jobs in the DS console disappear on refresh. I would like to apply the hotfix without upgrading to SP1 but I cannot find the instructions for running the 'collapsefix' SQL query.

    I downloaded the hotfix from KB 41787 under Deployment Server Console (express.exe). It links to KB 41648 for instructions but the instructions are not there.

    The collapsefix.sql must be applied through the SQL Management tool by importing and running the query. As for applying the express.exe, you need to stop all the Altiris (Deployment Server related, including PXE) and then replace the .exe in the express share. It is strongly recommended you rename the previous one to .old or something similar before copying in the new file.

    Thank you. I applied the fix and my issue appears to be resolved.
