Can any one tell me what's going on in this community regarding the reward points?? I have noticed in a couple of weekss that my reward points are getting deducted. I have no idea hows that happening. Is there any terms and condition for gainning or loosing the reward points.

I cherish some of those....

Why you loose your rewards points?
Theory is simple, any reward  points you won with unfair practices, generally comes into notice of Connect team, and you loose points earlier awarded for the same.

e.g.

  • Un-necessary Votes
  • Just typing, OK, Good, Verygood, Bye, <blank forum thread> etc. etc.
  • Making the same comment again

If you use connect with fair meas, you really get some good quality rewards.

I cherish some of those....

Due to the volume of comments

Due to the volume of comments and content on the Connect site, the system awards points to a limited number of content types automatically. (The points on most content types is approved manually.) However, when the Connect team is moderating the community, they often find some discrepancies. Those items mentioned by Tejas above will cause point loss. Also, when you change your vote on an item, or content you posted is deleted, you will also lose points.

If you have questions or concerns, you can always contact a Community Manager for an explanation.

You would be deducted points

You would be deducted points if the comments that you make on a certain topic is irrelevant or if you make a simple comment just to receive points and in return you would be deducted because all post are being reviewed by administrators of this forum....just an fyi...

The answer to your question

The answer to your question is above. The community managers are responsible for moderating the community. If you have any questions, you can contact the appropriate community manager.
