It is impossible for me to connect to Symantec EndPoint Protection Manager Console.
It seams as if I lost my password for this admin account.
When I try to connect to the EndPoint Protection Manager Console using my admin account, it reply that "Failure to authenticate. Please retry"
But I am sure that I don't change this password. What I can to recover from this situation ?

    go to
    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools
    run the rest pass .bat
    log in with
    ID: admin
    password: admin
will ask you to change the password

    The above solution,
    'go to
    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools
    run the rest pass .bat'
appears in several Forums, however I didn't find a 'Tools' directory in my installed version.
I'm running Endpoint Protection for Small Business ver. 11.0.5002.333.
I'm also in need to reset the admin password. How do I do it in this version since the recommended solution doesn't seem to apply.

    Thanks,
    Steve

you must be using SEP 12.if so you can click on the forgot password link in the log in page.
if you are using 11.5 then the tools directory will be on the drive you installed symantec endpoint protection manager, if might be on d or someother drive...

My wrong, I apologise! I forgot that I installed the Management Console software in a non-default directory. Indeed the Tools folder and the batch file were there and the resetpass.bat file did the trick.
