  • 1.  Lost Internet After SEP 12.1 Client Installation

    Posted May 17, 2012 05:49 PM

I have a Dell PC tower with Windows XP connected to a Dell PowerEdge server running Windows Server 2003.  I installed the Management Console for Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 (SEP 12.1) successfully to the server, and I did a test client installation on my PC, but a few minutes later, I lost Internet connection, and I cannot bring it back up.  Was this caused by my client installation of SEP 12.1?

    Hi,

Are you facing known issue? pls check.

Network connectivity is lost after installing SEP 12.1 on a client running Microsoft Windows Live OneCare 2.x

    Fix ID: 2479660
Symptom: After installation of SEP 12.1 on a computer already running OneCare 2.x, network connectivity is lost. The user cannot connect to the internet or shared drives.
Solution: The sysplant.sys driver (Application and Device Control) was modified to allow OneCare 2.x to load correctly.
