LU error 1847: SEPM 11.0.5002.333

I had an issue that began with my SEPM when it was at version 11.0.4x where I was getting Liveupdate error LU1847 saying that "Liveupdate could not determine if there is an update for this product because the update list  for this product is corrupted".  I got this specific error by running the LUALL.EXE manually and watching the message dialog.

After going through the Symantec Knowledge Base and Support Forum I found several procedures to try to remedy this issue including perfoming an LUCATALOG -update, deleting files and folders, etc.

Finally, I uninstalled SEPM, SEP client, and performed the CleanWipe Utility process with the latest version.  I then installed SEPM 11.5002.333 and immediately began receiving the same errors.

I am at a complete loss.  There is NO documentation in the standard Symantec Knowledge base for this specific error and I am about to blow a gasket.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I cannot access the support

I cannot access the support tool site since my SEPM is within a secure network with no internet access.  I've verified that our enterprise LiveUpdate server that this server accesses does have the latest definitions.

thanks

Well if you have no Internet

Well if you have no Internet access then why are you running LUALL ??

Have you configured your LUA (enterprise LiveUpdate server) settings in the SEPM ?

sepm - admin - servers- local site-properties- Liveupdate-- source server.

Yes I have done this.  SEPM

Yes I have done this.  SEPM is configured to point ot my LiveUpdate server or I would be receiving an error 1814 instead of 1847.

With regard to the first link

With regard to the first link suggestion:  I can browse out and retrieve the livetri.zip file from the liveupdate site, which I assume is the Mini_Tri file without any authentication problems.

With regard to the second suggestion:  None of the compression utilities mentioned are installed or in use, there are ZERO files in the AllUsers\Application Data\Symantec\Live Update\Downloads folder,  there is no proxy or firewall issue that I can tell since I can manually retrieve these files and open them manually, and the S32LUHL1.dll  mentioned does not exist on this server.

I should point out that if I attempt to initiate LiveUpdate from the SEPM console (Admin\Servers\Site ) I get a Live Update result of "1" indicating that there are no newer versions available.  Also while in SEPM console, under "Show LiveUpdate Downloads", it shows that no LiveUpdate Content has been downloaded.
