I've had a quick rummage around on this as well, and all the articles I look at seem to say pretty much the same thing: "Uninstall LiveUpdate Client, Reboot, Reinstall LiveUpdate Client, Re-Register SEPM".
The onyl one that says anything slightly different is the one below, which adds a LiveUpdate Client catalog cleanup in there too:
LiveUpdate sessions on Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1 RU1 End with LU1832, LU1825, or LU1806 errors

Can you confirm what version of the SEPM you're running and what version of teh LU Client you've got installed?
