Endpoint Protection

My SEP 11 RU6 Server is having a problem installing virus definitions (both 32 and 64 bit), but all other updates are working as expected. When running Live Update, I get a message saying "LU1832: unable to uncompress update because update was corrupted during download". I have followed the following directions to try and fix this: 1)Followed the Article: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2007100907303548 2) Cleared all the Definitions downloaded. 3) Applied the .jdb file Same Issue..

you need to check if firewall is blocking it; there might be some content blocking done at the firewall

As much as I know : This problem occurs when the computer does not have enough free space on your hard disk.

However, I have the SEPM installed on the D drive  and By defaulf Liveupdate is on the C drive.

However, D drive and C Drive have lots of Space.


Looking for solution.

Try by bypassing any proxy /firewall which is present between Internet and SEPM...

Thanks for the Help.

Proxy was not an issue... neither was the Space.

The Old Compressed Files were an issue...

Uncompressed the C Drive and Deleted all the old compressed Files.

Issue is resolved.
