I strongly encourage you to upgrade away from SAV 8 and 9 as soon as possible. They are no longer supoprted and today's sophisticated threats need greater protection than those old version can provide.
Make sure that you are not downloading anything that you do not need: for instance, no OEM versions or Itanium versions if there are no SAV clients of that sort in your environment.
As Rafeeq said, make sure you are not downloading 64-bit defs if there are no 64-bit clients that need to be updated.
Make sure that you are not downloading SEP or SAV for Macintosh defs if there are none of those....

Finally: keep an eye out for LUA 2.3, which is expected next month. This new release will have improvemed pperfromacne and additional enhancements.
