  • 1.  LUA Configuration for linux question

    Hey guys,

     

    I've been reading the LUA implementation guide and I cross this line which I cannot understand

     

    hosts/0/url=<full path to the update definitions directory on the central LiveUpdate server>
     
    I know that this is waht I need to change on the liveupdate.conf file on the linux servers, but I dont know what to input inside that hosts/0/url=< input  >
     
    Can anyone show some example of the things I can input on this line?

    it will be like this

    hosts/0/url=http://[http served distribution repository]
    #hosts/1/url=http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com:80 
    #hosts/2/url=http://liveupdate.symantec.com:80

    Hi,

     

    I found this on the link you gave:

     

    hosts/0/url=http://YOUR_SERVER_IP_HERE:7070/clu-prod

     

    We have our own Liveupdate administrator server, but can you tell me if it is a requirement that it should go through port 7070? and also what is clu-prod? is this default or created by the user?

    I found it now, it was default, i found it on the LUA Console.  Under Configure->Distribution Centers->Default Production Distribution Center.

    clu-prod is the folder that gets created by LUA. the port is 7070 default
