    Hi,

I have problem with diskspace of one of managed machines.

There is not so much diskspace left for operations, and majority of diskspace is used by SEP.

    There is over 1,4GB in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\CurrentVersion\Data\Lue\Downloads

which I assume are downloaded update files for SEP

unfortunately SEP can not update because of missing diskspace / and files are not removed since update is not completed

Is it possible to remove those files and then run SEP update? (should be enough diskspace then)

I've tried to run smc -stop and then tried to remove those files but that attempt was unsucesfull

Whats more there is only small window of time when this machine can be rebooted.

    I'd appreciate help.

mostly likely this is because you have not rebooted the machine, because I don't see any downloads folder under LUE folder. did you try to disable tamper protection and then stop smc before deleting the file ?

    Thx

What I missed was disabling tamper protection before shutting down smc.

After that I could remove unneded files from lue\downloads dir and perform normal update of SEP.
