    I NEED A SOLUTION

    1) I have Mac Lion OS 10.7.2 installed on my Mac Pro Desktop (Quad Core Intel). I purchased today via your official download site the PGP WDE (MULTI) providing me with a variety of WIN, Linux and Mac extracting options. I extracted the file PGPDesktop10.1.2_MacOSX.tar.gz and installed it on my computer. The PGP doesn't open telling the following reason:

"You can't use this version of the application PGP with this version of Mac OS X. You have PGP 10.1.2.9"

After spennding soon 2 hours surfing through the Symantes site I have not been able to find a solution to this problem. I kindly request you to provide me with a simple link DIRECTLY to the download of the version that would work on my computer. Please don not refer me to the same thread where you talk about the same issue, as there is no link to be found to the download site.

    FEEDBACK

I am sorry to say but in my 20+ years of End User experience, I have never seen a company support site as messy as Symantec. Symantec provides encryption solutions but someone should make a business to encrypt the messy information by Symantec.

    I suggest the following

Clean up your pages. Remove unneccessary information. Provide simple paths to the LATEST downloads. And for heavens sake - do more co-opreation with Apple. Over and over again we MAc users have to wait for your solutions after almost every Apple Uppgrade.

You need 10.2.0 MP1 or newer (MP2, MP3) for Lion.

I can get the download link from.

And it doesn't really surprise me that Symantec is not selling the latest version in the firts place.

    Dear community friends!

I understand that the version should be 10.2.0 MP3. The problem is that Symantec did not deliver me the link to the latest version. They sold me the version 10.1.2.9.

I wil be happy when Symantec fulfil their obligation and give me the correct download link.

I finally got my PGP 10.2.0. MP3 installed and it works fine with MAC OS 10.7.x

Let me remind you about the starting point: the download link provided by Symantec upon purchase leads to a multiplatform file of the size 2.6 GB, which doesn't contain the latest version needed for Lion.

I contacted the Symantec Support number (most of the numbers to be found on internet are no longer in use).

The agent provided me with a temporary download link and new serial number. Don't hang up before the process is completed as they sent me twice the wrong versions (PC-version and server version).

I am still waiting for the final License keys.

If you have a software maintenance agreement, customer service should have given you an upgrade notification ID number that you can use to upgrade your current PGP Desktop 10.1.2 license to a PGP Desktop 10.2 license. Have you tried using the PGP Desktop 10.1.2 license keys in your PGP desktop 10.2 software? They should be compatible...
