  • 1.  Machine doesn't boot after imaging

    I'm a newbie when it comes to using Ghost sop I apologise in advance.

    I have just installed and started using ghost 1.1 on a server 2003R2 box running PXE Boot.
    I can boot to the PXE server ok and suck an image off a machine but when I go to push one out the machine being imaged won't boot after the image process is finished. The machine restarts and then i get a flashing cursor top right of screen and thats as far as it goes.
    Any ideas would be most gratefully received.

    Bill,

    You might have a problem with the disk signature on your HD. I had some similar problems and I believe I fixed them by adding the -fdsp switch to my ghost command line. That will preserve the disk signature instead of forcing an initialization after the image is finished. I am not postive that is you problem but you can try it.
