Hello,

I get this error in the inventory tab of the properties for every machine on my network.

"This machine has no data collected for this Inventory View"

What are the prerequisites for inventory to be collected other than:

WMI (via, for example, a Windows XP machine).
Inventory views, (e.g. Computer System - Hardware)

I also know that we currently use an alternative solution to inventory management that also uses WMI. It's called OStivity, and it receives correct and complete information from the WMI process on our computers, so that doesn't appear to be the problem.

Have you tried running an Inventory Refresh task?

There may be other things we could try if that doesn't work.

I have tried that actually. I've also restarted the WMI process on a client computer, just in case.

Note, I'm retrying this step, just to be sure, and it looks like maybe the first time I ran the Refresh Inv task it might not have started. Not sure why, but I'll try and run an inventory report after the task is finished.Message was edited by:

Ok, that now works, and I can successfully run reports with filters.

Unfortunately, I have a new issue, but I'll post it on a new thread.
