    Hello,

I was checking one of the event log for a user and found the following.

Security Risk Found! WinZipper in File C:\...By: Auto-Protect scan. Action: Delete succeeded. Action Description: Reboot Processing

Is it possible for Symantec to reboot the user's PC after deleting a malware? If so, is there a way to turn of this functionality and ask the user to reboot instead? Thanks.

It is not possible to do automatically by SEP. This needs to be done manually and will finish the removal of the threat. You can initiate a restart of the client machine thru the SEPM. In the Clients page just right click the client and select Restart Client Computers

I believe it should be restart processing not reboot processing, Symantec does not reboot the processing automatically. You need to do it manually either by the user or through SEPM

    Restart processing

The user must restart the computer so that Symantec Endpoint Protection can complete the configured action.

There is not be possible that after delete the virus pc will automatically restart.

Also it not be a good suggestion because it will create the big problem. Whenever any user system is infected with virus it can restart and user work can hamper.

You can do it manually as the above both comment mention. It can be restart the system when it go idle.
