    Wondering if anyone has come across this before. I have a lot of machines running different versions of Java and I'd like to get them all up to date using Ptach Managament. When I run a compliance report many computers that are currently running an older version of Java such as Java 7u80 are not showing as requiring one of the Java 8 patches. I've also seen similar issues with Flash Player and Shockwave. I'm assuming this has something to do with the method used to check machines for updates, I thought I read somewhere that CMS uses Shavlik, but I'm not sure. Any insight as to why this could be happening is greatly appreciated.

    I think this may be to do with the fact that Patch Management only applies Security Patches and not upgrades. To go from JRE 7 to JRE 8 is considered an upgrade as is Flash 20 to 21. This is how it used to work, not sure if it's changed more recently.
