    Hi,

After having upgraded from SEP 11.0.6 to SEP 12.1, the mail notification no longer work as it should. We send the notications using SMTP to a third party app that converts the mail to a SMS. This worked fine with v.11.x, but now the third part app cannot handle the message, saying "the format is not supported".

Has the way SEP uses SMTP changed in version 12.1?

Sorry for the delay in our response here, we have been busy SEP12 to market.

SEP12 introduces notifications as HTML with all the information in the body of an email.

Scheduled Reports are still MHT's, but the feedback we have had from our wider customer base is that generally they wont be reading reports on their mobile devices.  Granted there are still some issues with MHT's on non-Windows platforms, and removing MHT completely is something we are looking at in the coming year, but hopefully notifications will solve the problem for most people.

    thanks!

Yes, notifications are now in HTML, rather than text based with MHT's attached.

If your service has problems converting HTML, that could be the reason.
