Recently installed backup exec 2010 to four new servers.  When I get e-mail notifications, where I used to get ""(Server: "Server_Name") (Job: "Full Backup") The job completed successfully. "  in the body of the e-mail with Backup Exec 10d.  I now only get "Completed Successfully." in the body of the message.  My question is, "Is there a way to get the "Server Name" to be promulgated in the body of the message as it was before or has the functionality of the newer product changed so that is doesn't do that any more"?

Thanks

Hi MIchael, I got around this

Hi MIchael,

I got around this by creating virtual email addresses for all my servers. That way, I know exactly which site it comes from.
It would look something like this:

PLZ_backupexex@mailaddress.co.za

Laters!

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.

With backup exec 10d's the

With backup exec 10d's the email completion looked like this:

(Server: "PEPWFP00763") (Job: "PBSG Full Backup") Completed Successfully.

With backup exec 2010 the email completion looks like this:

Completed Successfully.

The subject lines haven't changed, just the body of the message, which makes them harder to monitor.
