Hi.

I have recently taken over a customer who has an expired version of mail security for exchange. To upgrade, I need an existing license correct? How can I find this license? The customer has no details what so ever. I cannot see it in the program.

Expired License

If you are looking to upgrade the product your old license doesn't really matter, but you will need a new current license to have the ability to get hold of the latest version of the software and download AV  updates once you've upgraded.  Your Symantec representative should be able to help with that.

For reference you'll be able to find your expired license file or any new licenses in the \Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Licenses folder after you've installed them.

Cheers,

Kevin
