Mail Security for MS Exchange - Block Message-ID

Created: 10 Dec 2012 | 2 comments

Hello,

I have noticed that a lot of spam seems to get through with invalid message-ID's (98F4222476105715A73D6CF8715184135D940042@USPRODSVCEML001 for example). Is there a way to configure Mail Security for MS Exchange 6.5.7.279 to block all invalid message-ID's such as this? Manually doing each one as they come in doesn't really work, as everyone seems different.

We are running MS Exchange Server 2007, version 08.01.0436.000 on SBS 2008 with service pack 2 if that helps.

Thank you.

hello,

I think via Exchange Transport Rule you can check for the E-Mail headers and put them as action in the junk folder of each mailbox or bounce it.

You should be also able to configure a pattern that should be applied to match only valid message-IDs

Hope this helps.
