Mail Security for MS Exchange files not quarantined
Environment: Windows Small Business Server 2011 SP1, Symantec Mail Security for MS Exchange 220.127.116.119
I have created a match list for .zip files and added it to the File Name Rule under policies and enabled this rule. The actions for this rule are to Quarantine the attachment/message body and replace with text. Sending a test message from outside the network with a .zip attachment confirms that the rule does in fact put the .zip attachment into Quarantine. However, users are reporting that the .zip attachment still comes through in email. It seems that Mail Security is either reporting incorrect data or is not functioning correctly for this rule. Because of this it is becoming difficult to trust that the product is functioning correctly in all areas. Is there another location I can check to make sure this rule is actually being followed?
