Mailbox Archives - permission export/report

Is there a way to export all the Vault mailbox permissions to create a report? I have a way to export the inherited Exchange permissions from AD, but this does not get the explicitly, manual set archive permissions.

Our organization would like to audit this information on a periodic basis.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, this is not possible.
There is no API for this... :(

Hi Brian,

One cuestion, Do you want that Mailbox permissions are put in Archive container?

Daniel,

Yes....basically, in Vault Admin console under Archives, Mailbox. I was looking for a way to export, query or create reports on mailbox permissions. So, for example we could do an audit and find any mailbox archive with manually set permissions or all archives a particular user has access to, etc. Our management wanted to have this information audited periodically. Without having some way to export or query it, it will not be practical.

I'm not sure if it's being considered for future version of Vault or not...but it would be nice if it extended the AD schema and Vault permissions could be modified through ADUC. If it was stored in AD then it would be relatively simple to perform some LDAP queries to generate these reports.

Where is this information stored now? The SQL database?

I'm not sure where it is stored, but I bet it's somewhere in the index.
Haven't found it in SQL yet.

I'd suggest that you open a case with symantec and file an RFE for this...

Cheers
