Mailserver blocked by Brightmail at Microsoft but cannot delist

Hi. My mailserver has been blocked by Microsoft and my customers can't send mails to @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, etc. When I use Microsofts SNDS tool to look up my IP address, it says I've been blocked by Brightmail. However, when I use the specified delist page (http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/) it says I'm not listed! Anybody have any similar experiences/advice?

I would suspect you are on another list not maintained by Symantec.

Are you sure that you are checking the correct IP address? If you send an email to ping@mxtoolbox.com, they will respond with the IP address that they see your email from, which would be what Microsoft have blocked.

Hello BenDC and JDavis,

We are encountering a similar problem however 4 of the ips keep getting blocked over and over even though we have over 300 sending the same mail.

Any advice on how we can resolve this, its our first issue in 3 years.

You may also try looking at the website mxtoolbox.com. It will show all IP addresses associated to your domain name and it will show all the blacklists that have that IP address listed. You can then request removal from each of them according to their websites.

You may also check the IP addresses at http://www.symantec.com/security_response/landing/spam/.

If this does not resolve the issue or if you continue getting blacklisted, you should consider opening a support case as there may be a spam bot or something along those lines in the network. If that is the case, you would need to work with your AntiVirus provider to make sure the network is clean.
