Malicious process

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I'm dealing with virus cleanup and have found that I have some malicious folders that cannot be deleted because they are "in use". After some research, it looks like these folders are locked by both winlogon.exe and explorer.exe.

Obviously, I can remove these in safemode but that is not an option right now as I'm working on these machines remotely and the techs are gone for the day. Is there any program(s) out there which will allow to remove the locking handle or DLL?

You can use an thirdparty

You can use an thirdparty tool to unlock the folders and then you can delete them

Try Unlocker tool and/or Hijack tool.

Just to add to Prachand's suggestion, you may want to try Unlocker tool and/or Hijack tool. You may downlaod it from google.
