Hello,

I have problem with My PE image, when I start in PE, the PE make a very long time to boot.

The cause had been found, it's a problem of drivers conflict (4 drivers versions for the same hardware) but they all appears as the same one on the PXE Creator.

I know how to add drivers to WinPE but don't know the process to follow to delete some drivers from WinPE Wizard.

How can I do that cleanly ?

Thanks for your help.

Microsoft provides a number of drivers that are already part of WinPE.

Altiris then provides a few extra drivers for WinPE in DS.

Then the user can add additional drivers for WinPE.

There is no way in the UI to delete a driver. But you can manually delete a driver from the disk, so long as it is a driver that has been added by either Altiris or by the end-user. If it is a driver that is already in WinPE from Microsoft, then this can be done, but it is much more difficult.

Go to the Deployment Shared directory, go to the bootwiz\platforms\winpe\x86\drivers folder.

The Altiris supplied drivers are in the std folder, and the user added drivers are in the custom folder. Look over those directories, and find the driver that you want to remove, and delete the files and directory for that driver.
