How do you manage your SVS layers when you are using SVS on your clients.

There are many solutions available. What do you use?

For instance:

  • VB scripts
  • SVS logon hook
  • SVS pro
  • Altiris DS
  • Tivoli

Just curious how others do this.

Default and Custom

We distribute the SVS Packages with NS Solution.
And manage them with a custom written tool (by me) remotely. (Mostly troubleshooting)

Cheers, frankB

Using WiseScript to manage SVS layers

Hi Erik

We distribute the SVS Packages through Novell ZENworks (upgrading to v. 10 soon).
However, ZENworks only kicks off a standardised WiseScript to import and activate layers.
Hope that the new functionality of SWV soon finds its way into WiseScript Editor.

Cheers
Roland

DS

We currently use pre made DS jobs that are included in 6.9, but will use NS if we start using virtualization in production.
