  • 1.  Managed clients removed automatically after not checking in

I received a notification that two of our managed clients, which had not checked in for 30 days, were removed from the client list.  I have not been able to find any info on how to change this setting, extend the days before removal, etc.  Does this mean I will have to reinstall SEP on these clients when they are next in the office?

When they come to office; they wil reconnect to the manager; you dont have to re-deploy the software.

    to change the setting

    open

    sepm

    admin

    servers

    local site

    right click select properties;

set deleted clients not connected to your value.

Thanks, Rafeeq.  I could not follow your steps, could you double-check?  Here's what I did:

    1. Open Symantec Endpoint Protection Center (not sure if this is different from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager you refer to, I cannot find an SEPM on my system).

    2. click Admin icon on left edge

    3. Nothing here labeled "servers"...poked around could not find what you are referring to.

    Thanks,

Oh! I thought its SEP 11.

12 has less features when compared to SEP 11.0

    Rafeeq,

So what does that mean for my situation?  Will the removed clients still be reconnected when they next connect to the network?

Is there a way in SEP Small Business 12.0 to modify this setting?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It's not possible with Small business edition. I believe it's hard coded.
