I am running NS7.  Naturally there are filters that list managed vs unmanaged computers.  The SMP sees managed computers that don't have the Altiris agent installed.  I have attached screen shots of an example.

Why do computers with the Altiris agent installed show up as managed??

Are you saying this system has never had the Altiris Agent installed?  Does this behavior change if you go to Settings > Notification Server > Resource Membership Update and click 'Run' next to 'Complete Update Schedule', then re-run the filter results?

Before you do this, you may want to check the NSCap share on your server and search it for any .nse files.  Rather than check every folder, just search \\servername\NSCap\ for *.nse.  If any are found, move them all into \\servername\NSCap\EvtInbox\ -- they should disappear very quickly.  Some of your other posts here recently make it sound as though you have stale data, which could be that some .NSE's are not processing properly.

Running the Resource Membership update doesn't help.  All .nse have been processed.  I am thinking that people are re-imaging machines?

I am going to run a report that looks for the folder c:\program files\altiris\altiris agent.

As you hinted, I have inherited an Altiris system that hasn't been managed in approximately one year.

Open up Resource Manager for CCSRISK12 and go to Summaries > Processing Summary.  When is the Most Recent Event Time?  If this is old, the client isn't reporting and you can probably delete it to clean things up.

Once you clean up all the systems that haven't reported in awhile, you'll want to either work to make sure everyone has the client, or keep an eye on who stops reporting and try to find out the cause.

Look to imaging, manual reboots, or certain problem employees as the cause of Altiris Agent removal.  You'll want to also check Policies to make sure you aren't accidentally causing this on a particular subset of computers.

I confirmed this was the result of re-imaging.  Altiris agent has been added to image.
