    Hi,

    Environment:

i am using Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 (11.0.6100.645) for my company. At all i have 1300 managed clients in different vlan's and around 30 locations in the world. In the locations a GUP is responsible for the updates. In the locations i have normally around 20-60 clients. In the Headquarter i have around 700 managed clients located in different vlan's.

For the complete organization i have two SEPM installed.

We are unsing the following structure: \\country\location\computer for computers  and \\country\location\server for servers.

    Problem:

The update-performance of the locations are fine. But the update-performance in the Headquarter is bad. It could take up to 4 hours and more until a client is up2date. The same problem we have with new installed clients in the headquarter.

    Question:

I have to speed up the udpate-process of my headquarter. As i descripted above, the clients are located in different vlans. My idea is to install one more SEPM which is only responsible for my biggest vlan.

In the SEPM-Console (Policies\Policy Componets\Management Server Lists) i want to create a  new management server list where only the new managment server is located.

But what i have to do, that only clients from one vlan will use this management server list?

    BR

    Julian.

Management Server List works on Groups so if you add a Server List and assign it to particular group or Groups they will Point to that server for updates .
