Created: 02 Apr 2014 | 4 comments

Migrated to a new server but unable to remove the replication due to the defaultr groups still assigned to the old server list.  Group shows as gray so unable to change/assigne to new server list. What is missed?

Create a new one and assign to the group. The default msl cannot be changed. Its by design.

Please click the "Mark as solution" link at bottom left on the post that best answers your question. This will benefit admins looking for a solution to the same problem.

Thats correct, create a new one , assign it , then you would be able to change it.

If you're unable to change the settings on the "Default Group", is it possible that inheritance is still on?  In which case you can either disable inheritance, or change the MSL at the "My Company" level instead.

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

A default management server list is automatically created for each site. All available Symantec Endpoint Protection Managers at that site are added to the default management server list with the same priority.

Refer this article: Creating and assigning a management server list for a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
