Manager console not getting updates

A couple of days ago (Monday) the Manager console would not open. Just hung on logging in. Reset services and could get in with no issue.

Once logged in saw that all agents (300) were offline. After this it took a while but all agents slowly all checked in. This was the 2-6-12. The Manager console has updates right now for 2-7-12 but shows that Symantec has 2-9-12 available. How do I get the manager console to start downloading its updates again?

Thank you

Brian Jackson

  • Repair Sepm manager from add remove programs
  • Run management server wizard

Hi Brian,   Try to run

Hi Brian,

Try to run LiveUpdate from the SEPM. If it fails, try to run luall.exe from Start > Run.

If an error is returned, please post it on the forum or look for a related KB.

Best regards,

Shulk

Solution

I went ahead and called Symantec support on this one.

What we did was to go to the Admin tab within the manager console and manually download the updates. This resolved the issue. Sorry for the slow response.
