  • 1.  Manager not getting live update

    Dear,

    We have recently noticed, our protection manager not getting the live update as a result clients are not updated.
    What we do as a remedy to download updates manually.
    We try to uninstall the live update and repair the manager itself - but still no luck,
    There is a weired date showing in the protection manager - server- local site as follows

    September 9, 2010 3:45:31 PM GST:  LiveUpdate succeeded.  [Site: Site idcsymsrvr2]  [Server: idcsymsrvr2]
    September 9, 2010 3:45:31 PM GST:  LUALL.EXE finished running.  [Site: Site idcsymsrvr2]  [Server: idcsymsrvr2]
    September 9, 2010 3:45:31 PM GST:  LiveUpdate will start next on Thursday, September 9, 2010 7:45:31 PM GST on idcsymsrvr2.  [Site: Site idcsymsrvr2]  [Server: idcsymsrvr2]
    September 9, 2010 3:45:31 PM GST:  LUALL.EXE finished.  There were no new content updates. Return code = 1.  [Site: Site idcsymsrvr2]  [Server: idcsymsrvr2]
    September 9, 2010 3:45:18 PM GST:  Symantec Endpoint Protection Win32 11.0.4202.75 (English) is up-to-date.    [Site: Site idcsymsrvr2]  [Server: idcsymsrvr2]September9 2010

    I think this could be the main reason why is not getting updating - how solve this - pls help

     Looks like Liveupdate is not registered to SEPM follow this link

    Thank You for your quick reply,

    No still no luck as per the link - I think the it is because of the weired date as Sep9,2010

    If we can correct the date as system date then, it should be fine(I think)

    What is the system time for manager?
    Correct it..

    Apart from checking the sytem time also check what happens when you run LUALL.exe from run.
