  • 1.  Many SEP client haven't updated virus definition

    Dear All,

I found that around 95% of SEP client their virus definition was Mar 22, 2009.  So I try to upgrade the SEPM to MR4 and remanaged all client to the SEPM.  But the definition of those client still haven't updated.  Then I check the liveupdate download list on the SEPM and found that it haven't download the virus definition for Win32 version.  Is there anyone have this experience before or know how can I force my SEPM to download the Win32 version of Virus Definition?  Thanks.

    hi,
looking at the screen you are not downloading the AV and AS definitions for 32 bit definitions.
It's weird to see the 32 definitions being missed from the list.

Open the SEPm console -->> Admin-->> Servers -->> click on edit site properties and select the Liveupdate tab, check the Antivirus and Antispyware definitions --> ok, restart the SPEm and manually initiate the LU.

    Let usknow if that helps.

    Dear Pete,

I found another solution in here.
    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/endpoint-protection-live-update-not-updating-win32-definitons-win64-date

BecuaseI saw the log said it's failed when download the Win32 definition.  Anyway, thanks for your help.

    Best Regards,
