    Hi,

Since 13/01/2012 a user system I have been working on keeps getting a MAPI Proxy : decryption aborted. Currently am unsure as to why this is happening, as sometimes it works fine and other times it doesn't. User is using PGP Desktop 10.2 with Outlook 2010.

This is only happening his machine and both machines have permissions set exactly the same. If anyone has any further advice on what is happening with error I would be much appreciated.

If further information is required please ask and I will provide what I can.

    Thanks to all.

Enable debugging and send that log again:

Any of these will help you:

    I´m concerned about these two:

14:57:11 Email     Debug    No PGP Universal server configured
    14:57:11 Email     Debug    << sSoapContextForThread
    14:57:11 Email     Debug    << PGPocOvidServerGetOurKey
    14:57:11 Email     Debug    << PGPocOvidServerGetPrivateKey
14:57:11 Email     Debug    No decryption key found; aborting decode
    14:57:11 Email     Debug    << PGPocUnlockADecryptionKey

Showed up just before 14:57:11 Email     Info    MAPI Proxy: Decryption aborted

    Is client reaching server?

on pgp menu (think its tools) , keyservers, add you universal server so client will find the keys there.

    I see this log:

09:56:54 Email     Debug    No decryption key found; aborting decode

Inmediately after this , you receive:

09:56:54 Email     Info    MAPI Proxy: Decryption aborted

Check PGP keys, if any private key exists. If not expired, etc....

Add key to Master Keys in PGP options.

    Tell if this worked

    hi, the line

'14:57:11 Email     Debug    No decryption key found; aborting decode'

shows that the email you received is not encrypted to any key with private key in your keyring. if you can get the ciphertext from the email (e.g. by disabling pgptray.exe and restarting outlook) you can then copy and past this ciphertext into the application at http://pgpdump.net

This will show you a list of keyids to which this email is encrypted to, compare them to the list of ekys in your local keyring and you will find that the email is not encrypted to any of yours private keys
