Hello everyone. Version of SEPM is 12.1.6 MP3 . I need to know that is there any theoratical limit on the number of maximum clients that can be pushed at a single time when using the Push Deployment wizard ( standalone utility) that is found in the tools folder in SEPM software. By default the value is set to 10 for the maximum number of concurrent deployment. I need to know are there some limitation in real world or in practically when we are pushing the packages and increases the value to a higher number i.e 40 - 50 does it fails ?

As far as I remember in the previous version  of SEPM I read various forum posts where users were having issues when they increase this default value to a higher number then the installation would fail. I dont know if it is true with the latest version of SEPM or not.

Theoretically if your SEPM is built on a server there is no limit (if your machine is built on a XP or windows 7 platform this limit is 10 concurent machines). 

Although there is no limit I'd recommend doing any push distrutions in batches as I have seen in past on various SEPMs large push deployments fail but then when pushed in smaller batches have no issues. But I have seen succesful pushed for estates of 10,000+ machines too.

-> Lets say that you have selected 100 Machines, value 10 means that,  SEPM will push the package to first 10 clients in the list, once the copy is done, it will push the package to another 10 guys in the list and so on, this has nothing to do with client installation getting failed.

there is no limitation from the SEPM regarding the maximum no of packages that you can push, but it all depends on various factors such as the hardware of the server, network bandwidth available and the no of SMB (server Message Block) available for SEPM to use (this various from OS to OS and edition to edition). 

Guys thanks for the replies . My question is not the push deployment that we are doing from the SEPM console. I am talking about the Push Deployment wizard ( Standalone utility) that is present in Tools folder and the utility that we run from a standalone machine not from the machine where SEPM is running . The same logic is applied even in that case ?

Yes it does basically the same thing the SEPM wizard uses when you launch it.

once again it is going to be the same criteria, the tool as such doesn't have any limitation but it depends solely on the performance of server and the network.
