  • 1.  Maximum number of Fields per Data Class and Data Classes per Asset

    Posted Feb 16, 2011 08:21 AM

    Dear All,

Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of attributes in a Data Class and a maximum number of Data Classes per Asset in SMP7/AMS7? Also, is there a maximum number of Data Classes for AMS 7 at all?

Does the theoretical number of fields in a Data Class correspond to the maximum table field width of 8k minus the width of a BigInt and a UniqueIdentifier? However, I understand that SQL Server allows up to 2GB per row!

    Looking forward to your answer,

Don't think there's a limit on DataClass Attributes and Number of allowed dataclasses per Resource Type but it's good to keep minimum for better edit Page load times.

    ppalampati,

Yes, I agree with you. Symantec development have said that there are no imposed limits from them.
