Media Description not changeable in all Media Sets

This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hello Community,
since I've installed all latest Updates through Live Update for Backup Exec 12.0 on my machine,
I'm not able to insert or change "Media Description" on any Media or Media Set.
I've already restartet the Symantec services, rebootet the machine and checked eventlog and Symantec Logfiles but do not get any errors.
When filling out Media Description it gets not saved when pressing OK button, the field stays empty.
Any hints or workarounds?
Thanks in advance!

Oh and I just tested it on a 12.5 server and by bringing up the media properties I could change the Media Description and the change was saved afterwards. As such it is fixed in the latest version

I just tested on a 12.0 SP3 server and that server also lets you correct the Media Description by bringing up the properties of a piece of Media and typing in the change - as such please confirm how you are changing the properties

Hello Colin Weaver,
how I'm changing the properties:
-double click the desired media
- type whatever I like in "Description" field
- hit "OK" button
But nothing got saved, also I'm not able to change any existing description in any media set or media
it has worked all the time, but stops with the latest updates.
That's exactly what I did in
That's exactly what I did in latest updates with 12.5 (although not very latest updates in 12.0) so it is possible that one of the post SP3 hotfixes does have an unwanted effect.
And I think it's not
And I think it's not prossible to uninstall the latest hotfixes afterwards?
Solution
Hi Jay,
The issue that you are facing has been fixed with SP3 for BE 12.0. Run the Liveupdate install SP3, restart the server and then try to change the Media description.
Please Mark this as a solution if this helps.

Just uninstalled all Hotfixes
Just uninstalled all Hotfixes through Control Panel -> Software and the last Hotfix in the list with No. 329863 did the trick.
Now I'm able to enter Media Descriptions as usual.
@ Symantec Support: Can you check this.
Confirm. After uninstalling

As previously mentioned the latest updates fopr BackuP Exec 12.5 do not appear to cause the same problem - so instead of uninstalling the Hotfix our recommendation is to upgrdae to the latest version.
Hard to say. My LiveUpdate
Hard to say. My LiveUpdate does not update my system to version 12.5
Should I update manually? If so, where can I find the upgrade.
LiveUpdate only supports
LiveUpdate only supports Service Packs and Hotfixes - version changes - such as 11.0 to 12.0 or 12.0 to 12.5 require you to upgrade (and have appropriate licenses) If you have a maintenenacne agreement with Symantec that includes software updates these licenses will be free - however free or not you would have to speak to customer care to get the updated licenses.
The 12.5 software can be downloaded as trailware from:
https://www4.symantec.com/Vrt/offer?a_id=51792
Note: Trailware becomes a full install just by adding in correct licenses.
Colin, Thanks for your
Colin, Thanks for your clarification. Next week I will write to customer service and ask if I can for free (or not) upgrade to version 12.5.
