Hi,

The "Physical Volume Library Media not found" issue could occur if in the backup job properties, "Append to media, terminate job if no appendable media is available" is specified and there is no space to append. Hence, the backup job is getting terminated.

Refer to the following technote for more information:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/192180.htm

To check whether the media is appendable, run the changer inventory report and look for the values described in the following technote:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/192180.htm

You may also refer to the following technote:
When running a job to a Backup-to-Disk folder, an alert appears stating: "The Backup-to-Disk folder is offline."

Assuming the solution provided is correct. Also, there is no response from the customer within 2 days from the last reply by Veritas

Hello,

I'm actually having the same problem. My job was set up as 'Overwrite media'. I launched a test previous to the actual job which ended succesfully. Any ideas ?

This could also be due to

This could also be due to setting up "circuit breaker" setting for media insert alerts. If the job needs another overwriteable tape and one is not available it will keep alerting for a new one. If the alerts are setup to stop after a certain point, then a cancellation will occur.

It could also happen if you setup the job to cancel after x number of hours of running.
