Dear All ,

I have a master server with NBU 7.5 and two media servers with NB 6.5.5

so I want to ask about upgrading the media servers  : what are the steps to follow for such upgrade ? because I can't find in the upgrade guide any specific steps for the media servers , It's all about the master server ? so is it just plug the media and install the new media server  or there are specific steps ? also what are the precautions & the steps taken to secure my self to have a roll back point in case anything happens ? :)

Thanks in advance :)

So, we know by now that your 6.5 media servers are on Solaris 8 and 9, meaning they cannot be upgraded to NBU 7.5.

What are the OS upgrade plans w.r.t. these media servers?
Are you planning to upgrade to supported OS? or completely replace hardware?

Actually I thought that the OS Solaris 9 is supported but I had jst realized that only the Solaris 9 is compatible with NB7.5 Client not server so I have to plan first the OS upgrade

thanks so much for this valuable information

the point of the upgrade is that I needed to upgrade the Media server before configuring SAN clients as you adviced me before of doing so because the SAN client option is a little bit tricky as you told me before thanks so much for your continuous support and help :)
