Hi all,
I have a backup running (duplicate from disk to tape), as we speak, and i can see in the Job Monitor that the byte count is increasing, but when i check the device that is being backed up to (LTO 4), the used capacity/data area is not increasing.
Is something wrong here, or is there something else going on with compression, etc?

A bit of additional info, the Used capacity is showing 745.1GB of 745.1GB as being used. So it seems the tape is full. It is the column next to this that is not growing, even though the backup job shows data is still being written.

Hi

The capaticy used by the tape is modified once the job is complete . . if you see it while the job is running it might not give you the excat infomration . If you check it after the job is complete and if the information iss incorrect you Try updating the drivers for tape Drive .

If this response answers your concern, please mark it as a "solution"

Hi

No thats not the problem it doesnot get realtime updated in the devices tab however once job completes and you inventory the tape it should show up the actual capacity of the tape.
