    Hey Guys,

I have a small issue with SEP while using NFS Shares on Windows 7. The normal memory usage of SEP is normal as you can see in the picture:

So now I try to copy a file to an NFS share

and now I get a nice result from stable around 900 - 1000 MB Memory usage. When there are only 2 GB in and as well running Windows 7, than its a bit of memory. Anyway there was no more free so probably that why it didn't use more.

Installed is Windows 7 32 Bit with all patches, NFS Client the Windows integrated. I tried it after this directly as well with SAMBA, this works fine and I also get a rate from 9-10 MB/s. While copying the files to Samba smc use just 15 - 20 MB of memory. The connection goes over Wireless N Intel 6300.

I created a memory dump from the process, where I attached the results.

When someone know how to get ride of this, please let me know.

    Thanks

Are the NIC drivers up to date?

I'm not aware of any issue *publically*, others may be although I doub it....you need to open a support case.

Yeah... unless it's a NIC issue, this would be something you'll want to take up with a Support Case. I'm also not aware of any known NFS issues (a quick search of our internal knowledge base also turns up nothing).

Assuming Network Threat Protection is installed, does this happen if you remove it?

the NIC drivers are the latest I can get from .... :-) All is Up2Date at the moment, from driver point of view.

Try running Process Explorer from SysInternals (procexp.exe) to get a tree view of which main process owns which child process.

You can also test if it is one of the SEP components. Put the PC to be tested in a group and modify the policy so that the client can disable the network component by clicking on the padlock icon so that it shows as open or unlocked. And see if that makes a difference.

It is possible that SEP scans the files as they are being accessed or modified.

    Hey Guys,

thanks for suggestions. I did now Update to 11.0.6200 and at least the speed was changing -> got faster now. Now I have almost 4 MB/s what was very good for now.

Still the memory ongoing there is no changes. I think I will open a Tech-Case for it.

    Thanks for help Guys

PS: It looks like I`m the only one who use NFS :-(
