    Posted Apr 21, 2011 11:08 AM

    Hi.

I was created new Data Sources, new rules for import from SQL and after several time configured new secure role. With SMP all was ok.

But today in the morning when i try (by symantec administrator) to change a import rule i didn`t find a folder (Settings >Notification Server > Connector) in menu. Disappear all Data Sources and Import Rules in SMP.

    Nobody work with SMP.

I try to find the items and folder by another role and try to find a answer - nothing

    Pls. Help.

If something is 'gone' it most likely deleted. If you have a backup of the database you could restore it to a known good point in time.

Does the NS replicate or have any relationships with other NS's?

mine was that IIS lost the path to data connector -had to rebuild the path to connector solution.

IIS path was wrong - actually the connector was missing from the IIS list completely -thought from tech is that this was caused by the 7.1 sp1a update. that is my thought as well

    IIS was looking for /Alitris/Connector/DataSource/Oledbddatasource.aspx

what is in explorer is /Alitris/DataConnector/DataSource/Oledbddatasource.aspx

    so created a rename

IIS/<servername>/sites/default web site/altiris/ right click -add application

    Alias

    connector

    Physical Path - browse to c:\program files\altiris\DataConnector\web

test settings--- I had a failure here on authentication and had to do connect as my altiris admin account

I have been getting a lot of those security boxes with Windows 2008 r2 server for some reason

    OK/OK/OK

    iis restart

and now I have data connector back in all its glory
